Custom Wallpaper for Julia Sherman
Featuring family dogs past and present, this custom-printed wallpaper is full of personalized details and whimsy.
We partnered with artist, writer, cook, and photographer Julia Sherman on custom wallpaper for her Pasadena home. The Salad for President author decided she wanted a wallpaper for her child's room as unique as them, and since custom is sort of our thing, we were happy to oblige.
Inspired by her daughter's love for dogs, Julia tapped Barcelona-based print designers Batabasta to create a whimsical wallpaper design with personalized details. The pattern incorporates the family's terrier, Lucy, as well as Julia's late labrador and her husband's childhood corgi. Batabasta even added an illustration of her daughter riding the largest pup of the pack through a cotton candy colored sky.
We printed the design on a peel & stick wallpaper material, an option that's both semipermanent and something she could easily install herself. The final result is a lovely ode to the family's four-legged family members. See the full home tour at domino.
