2025 Design Trend Predictions

It’s that time of the year again! We’re looking ahead to 2025’s interior design trends. From rich shades of brown to whimsical decor, people are looking to make their homes feel like their own. What better way to add personality and personal touches than with wallpaper? Read on for more wallpaper ideas to inspire your 2025 refresh.

Want to look back at 2024’s trends? Check out our recent feature in Redfin’s Interior Design Trends of 2024, Wrapped!

Bring in Brown

Have you heard? Pantone announced its color of the year for 2025: Mocha Mousse. This choice is part of a bigger shift towards brown across fashion and interior design. Earthy brown hues feel warm and comforting, which may be just what we need in a fast-paced world. Our advice? If you’re going to use brown, really go for it. Make a statement in your space with a rich shade of clay, chocolate, or coffee. Our Uptown wallpaper in Terracotta accomplishes this beautifully, and even features spot gloss on the motifs to give them extra shine and drama - we can’t wait to see how they reflect the light in your space!

Embrace Eclecticism

Flavor and personality in design is so important, we predict we’ll see more of it in 2025 as we move away from minimalist gray interiors. Whether having a curio shelf with keepsakes, a collection of perfectly mismatched throw pillows, or some vibrant wallpaper, there are many ways to add color and whimsy to your space. Our Maze wallpaper, originally hand-carved and block printed, is perfect for adding some candy-colored joy and zing to your interior design.

Move Towards Moody

Choosing rich, moody hues for interiors can make a space feel calming, comforting, and relaxing. Saturated rich colors envelop a space, creating a calming retreat. If you want even more drama, lean into the “color drench” trend (where walls, moldings, and ceiling are the same color) to make your space feel calmer, tidier, and even bigger than it is. Our Gesture 5 mural in Twilight perfectly captures the restul mood, with a meditative brushstroke to get lost in.

Welcome in Wellness

Many of us are in need of some optimism and brighter outlook– why not create it in your home? Choosing soft, fresh, and uplifting colors and decor themes may be trending in 2025. Pick out colors, textures, and accessories that spark joy and calm for you, and create a space that can heal and rejuvenate you. Our Cloudscape mural allows for relaxing daydreams and meditations. Plus, you can’t help but be in a good mood when surrounded by the dawn hues of these fluffy clouds. Paired with simple furniture and fresh sheets, this mural makes for the perfect bedroom oasis.
